“If it’s a question of my heart, you got it.”
People keep asking…
Where are the fathers?
Where are the Black men?
And I keep wondering…
Why are we surprised by the destination…
when we keep ignoring the map?
If generations of policies were designed to separate families…
If prisons became pipelines…
If survival replaced opportunity…
Why do we act shocked when men arrive carrying wounds they didn’t create alone?
Our men don’t need another lecture.
They need a place to land.
A place to heal.
A place where being loved isn’t earned…
it’s expected.
Because if we expect healthy fathers…
healthy husbands…
healthy sons…
Then we have to become a world that’s interested in producing them.
Not just criticizing them after they’ve already been broken.
“I’ll keep letting my heart lead, and maybe that’s enough to build my legacy.”
